12 Aug 2014 ALL ABOARD HMS HOPE IT FLOATS... AND IT DID!

Morgan Marine took part in the annual Mumbles Raft Race this weekend and we’re delighted to say that we made it to the finishing line and came a very respectful fourth.

Our team, alongside rafts from our sister company PSF Wales and Envico Engineering, took part in the much anticipated annual event which sees teams from far and wide build their own themed raft and take to the coast off Mumbles Head for the RNLI charity race.

Marine themed (of course) and aboard our nautically inspired “HMS Hope It Floats” we battled it out and are delighted that we came fourth.

Now in its 29th year, the Mumbles Raft Race is organised each summer to raise money for the Mumbles Lifeboat Station. Competitors must paddle along a one-mile stretch of water between Norton and Knab Rock with the first to cross the line awarded the prestigious title of Raft Race Champion.
