Morgan Marine are delighted to be sponsoring Michael Beynon, an inspiring young man from Ammanford in Carmarthenshire, in his 2020 Virtual Virgin Money London Marathon challenge.

Unfortunately, Michael won’t be able to run the streets of London this year due to COVID 19, but he will be completing the marathon on his two favourite training paths with Team Mencap runners and Special Olympic Carmarthenshire Athletics club runners on Sunday 4 October 2020.  In the morning Michael will be running on the cycle path from Ammanford to Brynamman and in the afternoon he will be running at Mynydd Mawr Woodland Park, Tumble.

Michael is raising awareness for the UK’s leading learning disability charity Mencap to help change attitudes towards learning disability. Michael is 25 years old and has cerebral palsy, Downs syndrome, Hypertonia (a muscle condition) and is visually impaired.  It has been a dream of his for six years to run the London Marathon and now he has the opportunity to fulfil that dream.  We all wish him the very best of luck.
