Morgan Marine are delighted to have sponsored Michael Beynon, an inspiring young man from Ammanford in Carmarthenshire, in his 2020 Virtual Virgin Money London Marathon challenge.

Although Michael couldn’t run on the streets of London this year due to COVID 19, he completed the marathon on his two favourite training paths with Team Mencap runners and Special Olympic Carmarthenshire Athletics club runners on Sunday 4 October 2020.  In the morning Michael ran on the cycle path from Ammanford to Brynamman and in the afternoon ran at Mynydd Mawr Woodland Park, Tumble.  What an amazing achievement, we are delighted to have been able to follow Michael on this amazing journey.  Well Done!

Michael is raising awareness for the UK’s leading learning disability charity Mencap to help change attitudes towards learning disability. Michael is 25 years old and has cerebral palsy, Downs syndrome, Hypertonia (a muscle condition) and is visually impaired.  It has been a dream of his for six years to run the London Marathon and now he has made that dream a reality.
